Patrick Vieira: 'Manchester City should have signed Paul Pogba'

Patrick Vieira claims that Manchester City made a mistake in not signing Paul Pogba from Manchester United.

Manchester City reserve-team coach Patrick Vieira has claimed that the club made a mistake in not signing Paul Pogba from Manchester United.

The 20-year-old French midfielder has excelled in Serie A for Juventus after moving to Italy on a free transfer from Old Trafford in the summer of 2012.

Vieira believes that City were wrong not to bring the player to the Etihad Stadium when they had the chance.

"He is a player that I really like," the 37-year-old told L'Equipe.

"I saw him play for Manchester United. That Manchester City did not take him when he left was a mistake because he is an extraordinary player."

Pogba has scored four goals in 16 appearances for Juventus so far this season.
