Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba insists that he is happy at Old Trafford and is determined to help the club win silverware.

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has insisted that he is happy at Old Trafford as the speculation surrounding his future continues to gather pace.

The France international lost his spot in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first XI earlier this season but has been in impressive form in recent weeks, playing a key role in United's rise up the Premier League table.

The 27-year-old's contract is due to expire in June 2022, and the midfielder's agent Mino Raiola recently insisted that his client would not be penning fresh terms.

Pogba, though, has suggested that he is open to remaining at Old Trafford as he is 'enjoying himself' after seemingly overcoming a difficult period.

"You were waiting for this one, weren't you? I'm under contract, I'm here. I'm enjoying myself. I'm here. Everybody knows I have one year left and I speak with the club and see what's going on," Pogba told Rio Ferdinand on BT Sport's YouTube channel.

"Like I say, now, my objective, my goal is to win something. That's all I'm thinking about is to win. Bring all my energy, give my best to help the team the most I can and to win something. That's all I'm focusing on. The contract, that's not important, it's to win."

Pogba has scored four times and registered three assists in 25 appearances for the 20-time English champions during the 2020-21 campaign.
