Report: Juventus to make £20m offer for Tottenham Hotspur's Paulinho

Juventus are lining up a £20 million bid to sign the Brazilian midfielder Paulinho from Tottenham Hotspur.

Juventus are lining up a £20m bid to sign Brazilian midfielder Paulinho from Tottenham Hotspur, according to reports.

The move means Arturo Vidal will be free to leave the Italian champions for Manchester United, who have been linked with the 27-year-old for some time, though the Red Devils deny that they are close to agreeing a deal for the Chilean international.

Paulinho has been lined up as Vidal's replacement, with Juventus confident that Spurs will accept their offer for the Brazilian international.

However, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy will want more than £25m before he will even consider selling Paulinho, according to The Telegraph.

The midfielder has recently insisted that he is happy at White Hart Lane but a move to Juventus, who will be competing in the Champions League next season, might prove hard to turn down.

Spurs begin their domestic duties on August 16 when they visit West Ham United for their Premier League opener.
