Jose Mourinho unwilling to speak about Antonio Conte war of words

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho refuses to comment on his previous war of words with Chelsea counterpart Antonio Conte ahead of Sunday's Premier League meeting.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has remained tight-lipped over his thoughts on Chelsea counterpart Antonio Conte.

The two teams meet in the Premier League at Old Trafford on Sunday, a month after a widely reported public argument.

In January, Mourinho referred to a four-month suspension that Conte served for failing to report match-fixing, for which the Italian was later cleared of any wrongdoing.

Blues manager Conte retorted by describing the United boss "a little man" and Mourinho retaliated by saying he treats Conte with "contempt".

Ahead of Sunday's crunch clash at the Red Devils home, however, the Portuguese refused to be drawn on the situation at his pre-match press conference.

"I told you before I'm not going to speak about it. Not at all," Mourinho told BBC Sport. "[Conte is a] very good manager, fantastic team and that's what is important for me. Just that."

United must beat Chelsea in order to return to second in the table, while Conte's side could leapfrog their opponents into third with a victory.
