Jose Mourinho laughs off Paris Saint-Germain links

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho laughs off claims that he is angling for a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has dismissed speculation that he is eyeing a switch to Paris Saint-Germain in the near future.

The 54-year-old prompted speculation over his future last week when he revealed that United would not be his final job in management, while simultaneously reserving praise for "special" PSG.

Asked about the connection at a press conference this afternoon, Mourinho denied being interested in a switch to the French capital and also shot down contradictory reports that he is on the verge of signing a new five-year deal with United.

"I think you English media have the answer for that," he said. "In one day it says that I'm going to sign a five-year contract, £1 billion per season, then the next day you say that I am leaving and going to Paris Saint-Germain.

"Nothing is happening, I'm not signing a new five-year contract, I'm not leaving for Paris Saint-Germain. I'm at Manchester United, I have a contract and that's it. There is nothing to answer."

Mourinho is approaching the midway point of the three-year deal he signed to become United boss in the summer of 2016.
