Ben Hamer: 'We caused Manchester City problems'

Ben Hamer has said that Leicester City must show the fearlessness that they had against Manchester City in their forthcoming Premier League games.

Leicester City goalkeeper Ben Hamer has said that the team needs to show the fearlessness that they had against Manchester City in their forthcoming Premier League fixtures.

The Foxes fell to a narrow 1-0 defeat to the reigning champions at the King Power Stadium on Saturday, with Frank Lampard's goal proving to be the difference.

Hamer, who made just his second top flight start in the absence of the injured Kasper Schmeichel, says that the players were left frustrated at the final whistle.

"Personally I'm very disappointed and the lads are very disappointed inside the dressing room, because we know we've had a right go," he told Leicester's official website. "We have caused them problems, and showed fearlessness about us again.

"I just think the goal we conceded was very disappointing. We looked solid all through he first half, we had a couple of chances and obviously the main man for them steps up and scores the goals that he's been doing throughout his career.

"We're very disappointed because we felt we could have had something out of the game. It hurts to be honest."

Leicester travel to West Ham United on Saturday.
