Arsenal injury, suspension list and return dates for Man United: Ethan Nwaneri, Bukayo Saka, Ben White

Sports Mole rounds up all of Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Sunday's FA Cup first-round clash with Manchester United.

Kicking off their bid for FA Cup crown number 15, Arsenal host defending champions Manchester United at the Emirates on Sunday in the pick of the third-round ties.

The Gunners have failed to make it past the fourth round of the competition since last hoisting the trophy aloft in 2020, when they sank Chelsea 2-1 in an empty Wembley Stadium.

Mikel Arteta's men have already suffered one dose of knockout disappointment this week, suffering a dismal 2-0 home loss to Newcastle United in the first leg of their EFL Cup semi-final.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their clash with the Red Devils, who stunned Manchester City in last season's FA Cup showpiece to conquer the competition for the 13th time.

Ethan Nwaneri

Status: Out
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: February 2 (vs. Manchester City)

Ethan Nwaneri suffered a muscular injury during last weekend's 1-1 Premier League stalemate with Brighton & Hove Albion, and Arteta has conceded that the 17-year-old will take "a few weeks" to recover.

Bukayo Saka

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Fellow Hale End graduate Bukayo Saka is on the long road to recovery from the hamstring operation he underwent towards the end of 2024, and a comeback for the England international is not anticipated until the end of March.

Ben White

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: January 29 (vs. Girona)

Ben White appears to be ahead of schedule in his recovery from a knee operation, which was originally expected to keep him out until the spring, and there is a slim chance that he could be on the pitch again before the end of the month.

Takehiro Tomiyasu

Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Takehiro Tomiyasu is also entering the final stages of his recovery from his own knee issue and is being put through his paces on the training field, but there is still no timeframe on his competitive comeback.
