Pep Guardiola is pleased with Manchester City's "nice performance" in their 3-0 Premier League win over West Bromwich Albion on Wednesday night.

Pep Guardiola has declared himself satisfied with Manchester City's performance in their 3-0 win over West Bromwich Albion on Wednesday night.

The Citizens extended their lead at the top of the Premier League table to 15 points thanks to yet another Kevin De Bruyne-inspired performance against the Baggies.

Goals from Fernandinho, De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero capped off a routine win over the league's basement side which, combined with Manchester United's 2-0 loss at Tottenham Hotspur, puts the Citizens even further ahead at the summit.

Guardiola also mentioned his conversation with the fourth official after Matt Phillips's thigh-high tackle on Brahim Diaz was only deemed a yellow-card offence by referee Bobby Madley.

"Nice performance, top performance, deserved to win. Three more points," Guardiola told BBC Sport after the game.

"All the season Kevin De Bruyne has played an outstanding level. If one of the best players runs like Kevin does, the rest follow him.

"I just had a nice chat with the official. We have a different opinion, I understand what they say but I disagree. I said what I said, insisting the same. It is what it is. We can have different opinions but in the end always respect for what they do."

Up next for Man City is a trip to Burnley in Saturday's Premier League lunchtime kickoff.
