Liverpool reportedly make a decision over whether they would be open to offers for Harvey Elliott in either of the 2025 transfer windows.

Liverpool have reportedly determined their stance over the future of Harvey Elliott.

Earlier this month, it was suggested that offers may arrive for the playmaker courtesy of his lack of game time at Anfield.

Although the 21-year-old's opportunities have been restricted due to a broken foot, he has failed to earn a single Premier League start under Arne Slot.

Elliott's only two starts since his return have been against Southampton in the EFL Cup quarter-finals and Accrington Stanley in the FA Cup third round.

Nevertheless, according to Football Insider, that has not softened how Liverpool plan to handle any interest in his signature.

Elliott to remain at Anfield?

The report suggests that club officials have no intention of accepting any offers that are made during the January or summer transfer windows.

Slot is allegedly of the opinion that Elliott can still play an important role in his squad going forward, particularly when the schedule intensifies with the return of Champions League action.

Despite remaining with just 53 minutes of Premier League football spread over eight appearances, Elliott provided an assist during Liverpool's 2-0 victory at Brentford on Saturday.

With Liverpool having already qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League, he will now hope to earn a start versus Lille on Tuesday night.

There are still two-and-a-half years remaining on his contract at Anfield at a time when Liverpool are competing for four pieces of silverware.

Will Elliott ever be first choice?

Elliott brings obvious positives to this Liverpool squad, including his versatility in midfield and wide areas as well as being a homegrown talent.

Particular with regards to the latter, Liverpool are not blessed in that department at a time when Trent Alexander-Arnold appears increasingly likely to leave on a free transfer.

With Caoimhin Kelleher falling into the same bracket of being homegrown and in line to move onto pastures new, it may not matter that Elliott could struggle to ever hold down a regular spot in the starting lineup for the foreseeable future.
