Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp open to welcoming back Jordon Ibe, Brad Smith

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says that the club may exercise their buy-back options for Jordon Ibe and Brad Smith if the pair perform well for Bournemouth.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has refused to close the door on welcoming back Jordon Ibe and Brad Smith from Bournemouth.

The pair recently moved to the south coast club on permanent deals, but buy-back options were included in both transfers.

Liverpool received £15m for Ibe and £6m for left-back Smith, but Klopp is happy with the moves.

"We will watch them, they will have pressure there, they will fight for the league or whatever, and we will see them growing up in pressure situations - that's perfect," the Liverpool Echo quotes Klopp as saying.

"If a player is on loan it's different. It's like going on holiday. You can always go home. That's difficult for these guys as they are always between clubs.

"Now Smith and Ibe are there and we have buy-back clauses. Hopefully they do really well and then in the end we and them will decide. The goodbyes were okay with both of them. Liverpool is still in their hearts so we will have a chance if they do well."

Both players struggled for first-team action under Klopp last season.
