The home side showed more adventure going forward during the contest, but they were denied by several saves from visiting goalkeeper Steve Mandanda.

The stalemate is the first time in 15 competitive encounters that Marseille have failed to score against their hosts.

Lille's first draw in nine games has left them three points adrift of the Champions League places with six matches to play.
