Leicester City manager Craig Shakespeare describes his side's goalless draw at Bournemouth as "well-earned".

Leicester City manager Craig Shakespeare has described his side's goalless draw at Bournemouth today as "well-earned".

The Foxes' miserable start to the new season continued on the south coast today as they came away with a point from a game that saw the home side have most of the chances but fail to capitalise.

The former Premier League champions have now garnered just five points from their opening seven games, three points worse off than at the same stage last season.

"It's a hard-earned point," Shakespeare told BBC Sport afterwards. "I felt we started the game very slowly and gave the momentum to Bournemouth.

"To come away with a point on reflection is a hard-earned point. We had to defend with resilience in numbers.

"We didn't quite have that quality on the ball. On Monday I'll sit down and think 'a point well-earned'. We have to move on now."

Next up for Shakespeare's charges is a home encounter with West Bromwich Albion after the international break.
