Speaking to the club website, Knudsen said that his long throw was a speciality.
"I can throw the ball a long way," he said. "Someone in Denmark said I will be the new [Rory] Delap!"
Knudsen, who has two international caps with Denmark, has made over 100 appearances in the Danish top flight and also has European experience having played in the 2013-14 Europa League.
He will wear the number three shirt for the Blues and is expected to feature in tomorrow's pre-season friendly against FC Utrecht.
