Ipswich Town new boy Julio Enciso could make his full debut for the Tractor Boys when they host Southampton in Saturday's Premier League basement battle.
The Brighton & Hove Albion loanee came off the bench for the final 10 minutes of last weekend's 4-1 defeat to Liverpool, where he set up Jacob Greaves's late consolation from a corner.
The door has now swung open for Enciso to start this weekend thanks to an injury to Wes Burns, who came off with a knee problem in the first half at Anfield, and Kieran McKenna is worried that the 30-year-old has picked up a serious issue.
Ben Johnson was chosen to replace Burns on Merseyside, but McKenna should side with the more attack-minded Enciso against the 20th-placed Saints, as the Paraguayan joins Omari Hutchinson, Liam Delap and Jaden Philogene in the final third.
Jens Cajuste was a notable absentee from the squad to face Liverpool, although the Sweden international is only thought to have been rested and is therefore expected to be given the all-clear to feature in this one.
Cajuste's recall could spell danger for Sam Morsy - scorer of a last-gasp leveller in September's 1-1 draw with Southampton - as the Napoli loanee looks to reform a double pivot with Kalvin Phillips.
An ill Leif Davis did not re-emerge for the second half against Liverpool, but there is nothing to suggest that the left-back will not be available to face Southampton in a familiar backline with Greaves, Dara O'Shea, Axel Tuanzebe and Christian Walton.
Ipswich Town possible starting lineup:
Walton; Tuanzebe, O'Shea, Greaves, Davis; Phillips, Cajuste; Hutchinson, Enciso, Philogene; Delap
