Steve Bruce: 'Swansea City game like a cup final for Hull City'

Hull City boss Steve Bruce says that his side's clash with Swansea City will be like a cup final for the club as they bid to avoid relegation from the Premier League.

Hull City boss Steve Bruce has labelled his side's upcoming clash with Swansea City as a "cup final" fixture for the club.

The Tigers have struggled so far during this Premier League campaign, having grabbed just one victory in their last 14 matches.

"This one's a cup final if we really want to put it down to that," said Bruce, according to ESPN.

"It's a big game for us and a big opportunity. We've got to get a result, it's as simple as that. We've had an awful run of fixtures, with some awful injuries to go with it, but we have to forget about what's happened before and pick up a few points to get our season back up and running.

"It's a big, important time for us but there are a lot of clubs in the bottom half who'll be saying the same thing."

City currently occupy 19th position in the league table on 13 points.
