Scottish Championship roundup: Livingston win relegation clash

Sports Mole rounds up all of Saturday's action in the Scottish Championship.

With just three matches played in the Scottish Championship on Saturday afternoon, attention turned towards the bottom of the table.

Livingston picked up their first success of the season against relegation rivals Alloa Athletic with a 3-0 win.

A pair of new signings led Livi to victory, and saw them leapfrog Alloa into ninth. Liam Buchanan scored twice against his former club and Jordyn Sheerin, who scored 42 goals in the Scottish Junior leagues last season, added another.

Hibernian dropped to fourth after a 1-1 draw against St Mirren. Calum Gallagher gave the Saints the lead before Martin Boyle equalised just before half time.

Finally, Lewis Toshney scored the only goal of the game as Raith Rovers rose into the top three after a 1-0 win over Dumbarton.

Greenock Morton host Rangers tomorrow and Falkirk were held to a 0-0 draw by Queen of the South on Friday evening.

Results in full: Alloa Athletic 0-3 Livingston (0-1), Hibernian 1-1 St Mirren (1-1), Raith Rovers 1-0 Dumbarton (0-0)
