Nine-man Halifax Town earn the points

Halifax Town have two men sent off but record a 2-1 win against Dartford in the Conference Premier.

Halifax Town saw two men sent off but came back from a goal down to beat struggling Dartford 2-1 at Princes Park in the Conference Premier this evening.

Harry Crawford opened the scoring for the home side after nine minutes when he coolly slotted into the bottom corner.

The visitors responded with a couple of efforts through Paul Marshall and Danny Schofield, but it was Matt Pearson who restored parity after the half-hour mark.

Richard Peniket was denied by Dartford goalkeeper Deren Ibrahim but Pearson converted the follow-up to level the score.

Halifax were reduced to 10 men shortly before the break when Lois Maynard was involved in a tussle.

Substitute Boden gave the visitors the lead in the second half from the penalty spot after the referee had spotted a handball inside the area.

However, the 10 men of Halifax were reduced further when James Bolton was given his marching orders for a poor challenge and the away side were forced to play over 20 minutes with nine men.

The nine men held on to take the points and move up to eighth in the Conference.
