Dallas claim three points with comfortable win over Houston Dynamo

An own goal from Jermaine Taylor and a strike from Fabian Castillo see Dallas beat Houston Dynamo.

Houston Dyanamo's difficult season has continued with a 2-0 defeat away at Dallas.

Je-Vaughn Watson had the first chance of the match for the home team, but he smashed Fabian Castillo's cross over the bar.

However, Castillo supplied the first goal 20 minutes later as his cross was turned into the net by Dynamo defender Jermaine Taylor.

Dallas doubled their lead 10 minutes later as a low cross from Mauro Diaz was touched into the far corner by Castillo, to give his side breathing space at the break.

The same duo almost combined for a third after half time, but Tyler Deric cleared Castillo's effort off the line.

The visitors almost pulled one back through a Giles Barnes free kick, which drifted marginally wide of the post.

However, that was the closest they came to finding the net as Dallas comfortably saw out the remainder of the game.
