Report: Brazil sack manager Luiz Felipe Scolari after failed World Cup campaign

Brazil reportedly sack manager Luiz Felipe Scolari following Saturday's third-place playoff defeat to the Netherlands at the World Cup on home soil.

Brazil manager Luiz Felipe Scolari has reportedly been sacked following the nation's failed World Cup campaign on home soil.

The 65-year-old refused to answer questions about his future following Saturday's third-place playoff defeat to the Netherlands.

The 3-0 loss came a matter of days after Brazil were stunned 7-1 by eventual World Cup winners Germany in the semi-finals.

According to reports in the South American country, Brazil's football federation CBF have decided against renewing Scolari's contract following the end of the World Cup last night.

Scolari, who had a spell coaching Chelsea in 2008, took charge of Brazil for the second time in his career back in 2012.
