Bournemouth will have the chance to create a new club record when they welcome Everton to the Vitality Stadium for Saturday's Premier League clash.

Bournemouth will have the opportunity to set a new club record when they welcome Everton to the Vitality Stadium for Saturday's Premier League clash.

The Cherries will head into the weekend in seventh position after collecting 30 points from 19 league matches this season.

Bournemouth, who are sitting just two points adrift of fifth spot, have put together a seven-game unbeaten run (W4, D3) since suffering their most recent defeat against Brighton & Hove Albion on November 23.

The Cherries showed great character to extend their unbeaten streak in last Sunday's away clash against Fulham, coming from behind on two occasions to rescue a 2-2 draw thanks to goals from Evanilson and Dango Ouattara.

Bournemouth on brink of club record

While they have drawn three of their last four matches, those results have helped Bournemouth equal a club record for their longest unbeaten run in the Premier League.

They are now just one game away from going eight consecutive Premier League matches without defeat for the first time in the club's history.

With the Cherries looking to create history, they will draw inspiration from their recent head-to-head record against Everton.

The South-coast side have won five of their previous seven Premier League meetings with the Toffees (L2), including a dramatic 3-2 win in the reverse fixture in August.

On that occasion, Bournemouth scored three late goals, including two in stoppage time, to pull off a 3-2 victory from 2-0 down at Goodison Park.

Adams to return to matchday squad

USA international Tyler Adams dropped out of the squad for the recent draw against Fulham due to a small injury issue.

However, Iraola has revealed that the midfielder will return to the fold for Saturday's fixture, along with attacker Justin Kluivert, who is back from a one-match ban.

"We are going to recover Adams," Iraola told reporters in his pre-match press conference. "He was out the other day but had a very small thing, so we expect him to be available tomorrow.

"Obviously, Kluivert was suspended, so he will be another addition but we don't expect anyone else back for the Everton game."

Bournemouth are still without Julian Araujo, Marcos Senesi, Adam Smith, Alex Scott, Marcus Tavernier and Luis Sinisterra.
