How Bayern Munich could line up against Olympiacos

Sports Mole looks at how Bayern Munich could line up for Tuesday's Champions League clash with Olympiacos in Greece.

Bayern Munich travel to Greece on Tuesday to take on Olympiacos in their third game in this season's Champions League group stage.

The Bavarian giants currently top the group after winning their first two matches, but they were held to a 2-2 draw against Augsburg at the weekend by an injury time Alfred Finnbogason goal.

While Olympiacos are currently bottom of Group B with just one point from their opening two fixtures, they are four points clear at the top of the Greek Superleague.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Bayern could line up for Tuesday's showdown.

Out: Jann-Fiete Arp (wrist), Mickael Cuisance (groin), Niklas Sule (ACL)

While Bayern's draw with Augsburg was frustrating, the biggest blow for Niko Kovac's side was the ruptured cruciate ligament suffered by central defender Niklas Sule.

David Alaba is now fully fit, so he is expected to return to the side at left back, with Lucas Hernandez set to switch across to partner Javi Martinez while Joshua Kimmich continues on the right.

Jerome Boateng and Ivan Perisic have recovered from their respective niggles but both are unlikely to start the game, although they could be used off the bench in the second half to keep the squad fresh.

Corentin Tolisso is likely to come into the midfield alongside Thiago Alcantara, while experienced attacker Thomas Muller looks set to start ahead of Philippe Coutinho behind the striker as the Brazilian is still working towards full fitness.

Polish striker Robert Lewandowski is expected to start up front after scoring once again at the weekend, while Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry should also feature from the off, with the latter looking to further his tally in this competition after netting four against Tottenham Hotspur last time round.
