Quique Setien has acknowledged that he may not be in charge at Barcelona for the remainder of their campaign.
On Thursday night, the Catalan giants lost their grip of the La Liga title, conceding it to Real Madrid after a surprise 2-1 home defeat to Osasuna.
Lionel Messi was heavily critical of the club after the match, claiming that a "weak" team had emerged at Camp Nou.
Despite the negative comments from Barcelona's star man, Setien admitted that he could not disagree with the 33-year-old, throwing his immediate future into doubt.
Setien is quoted by Marca as saying: "I am responsible for our situation, as I am the manager of the team. I hope we will face the Champions League this summer as a different team, but I am not sure about what happens next for me.
"I agree with the post match comments from Lionel Messi about self-criticism, and we must look at ourselves in the coming weeks."
With the aggregate score locked at 1-1, Barcelona face Napoli in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie at Camp Nou on August 8.
