Rayo Vallecano boss Paco Jemez has insisted that the capital outfit will not rely on other results as they attempt to remain in La Liga this season.
Real Valladolid's 1-0 win over Barcelona at the weekend left Rayo three points from safety in the league table ahead of their clash with Real Sociedad on Monday evening.
However, Jemez has claimed that his side are only interested in their own form.
"If Valladolid think they're safe having beaten Barcelona, or we do for having beaten Valencia, we're screwing ourselves around. We're playing for three points," he told reporters.
"It doesn't matter to me that they beat Barcelona. Just because they beat Barcelona, doesn't make it a fact that they'll stay in the Primera. In the end what matters, is taking all the points you need.
"It doesn't matter what happens to anyone else. It doesn't influence our state of morale, just because others have won. We're depending on ourselves and we can't worry about what anyone else has done. It would be a huge mistake, if our morale was affected by what other teams do."
Rayo have lost 17 of their 26 league games this season.
