Former Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini reveals that he would like to return to England to "win the Premier League", five years after leaving the Gunners.

Former AC Milan midfielder Mathieu Flamini has revealed that he would like to return to England to win the Premier League.

The 29-year-old left Arsenal in 2008 to join the Serie A side after four years at the Gunners, where he won only the FA Cup.

Despite having an offer from Milan on the table, the former France international has stated that he wants to return to claim the top prize in the English game.

Flamini told The Sun: "Milan offered me a contract for two years but I need to take my time and make the right decision.

"I've been in Italy for five years, I've had a great time and learnt a lot.

"But I miss England and I want to win the Premier League. It has a special place in my heart. I like the pace and the physicality of English football and I like that every game is very open."

Flamini made 153 appearances for Arsene Wenger's side in his four years at the club.
