Eduardo Camavinga's agent insists that there is "no truth" to the rumours linking the midfielder with a move to Arsenal.

Eduardo Camavinga's agent has insisted that there is "no truth" to rumours that the France international could leave Real Madrid before the end of the January transfer window.

The 20-year-old has recently been linked with a move to Arsenal, with a report claiming that the Gunners were looking at a possible loan deal for the midfielder this month.

However, Joshua Barnett, who represents the youngster, has said that his client is "very happy" at Bernabeu and is not looking to leave before the end of the winter market.

"There's no truth. Of course every club in the world would want him, but he's very happy in Real Madrid and Real Madrid are very happy with Camavinga," Barnett told Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Chelsea have also been credited with an interest in Camavinga, who was a part of the France squad that reached the final of the 2022 World Cup.

The midfielder has been a regular for Real Madrid during the 2022-23 campaign, featuring on 26 occasions in all competitions, contributing two assists in the process.

However, there have been claims that Camavinga has become frustrated with Carlo Ancelotti substituting him on a regular basis this season.

The midfielder has not completed a full 90 minutes in La Liga this season, while he was replaced at the interval against both Valencia and Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup.

However, Ancelotti did praise Camavinga for his performance against Villarreal in the Copa del Rey on Thursday, with the youngster playing the full 90 minutes of the 3-2 win.

"He had more energy and showed more character in the second half. He's learning that he has to look after himself, it was a complete performance from him," the Italian told reporters after the match.

Ancelotti also called the midfielder "untouchable" during a press conference on Saturday afternoon.

Camavinga arrived at Real Madrid from Rennes in the summer of 2021, and he has already made 66 appearances for the club, scoring twice and providing two assists.

Toni Kroos, 33, and Luka Modric, 37, are both entering the latter stages of their professional careers, and it is believed that Real Madrid view Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni as the long-term replacements for the pair.

Real Madrid have not been in La Liga action since the 2-1 loss to Villarreal on January 7, and they could be six points behind leaders Barcelona by the time that they take to the field against Athletic Bilbao on Sunday night.

Camavinga will be bidding to keep hold of his starting role against Athletic, as Tchouameni remains on the sidelines for the Spanish and European champions due to a calf problem.
