Brighton & Hove Albion are willing to pay £20m to prise Eddie Nketiah away from Arsenal this summer, according to a report.

Brighton & Hove Albion are reportedly hoping to strike a £20m deal for Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah this month.

The England Under-21s captain has only been used as a bit-part player during Mikel Arteta's time at the club and now has less than 12 months left to run on his Emirates contract.

With an extension looking increasingly unlikely, Nketiah is being tipped to seek pastures new in the current window, and the likes of West Ham United and Leeds United have been credited with an interest in recent months.

Now, The Sun claims that Brighton boss Graham Potter has identified the 22-year-old as the ideal acquisition for his forward line, and they are willing to fork out £20m to complete a deal.

The report adds that Patrick Vieira is also keen to bring Nketiah to Crystal Palace, but the Eagles may be priced out of a move for the England Under-21s' record goalscorer.

Nketiah registered five goals from 30 appearances in all competitions for Arsenal last term, but he only started four Premier League games.
