Arsenal's Bacary Sagna plans switch to centre-back

Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna says that he would like to switch to centre-back in the future.

Bacary Sagna has revealed that he plans to switch to centre-back later in his career.

The 30-year-old, who joined Arsenal in 2007, typically plays at right-back for the Gunners, but has moved into the middle on occasions.

The French international told the club's official website: "Even at 30 I still have time to learn another position and I'm looking forward to it.

"Why not [play there in future]? I'm getting old and at right back you need to put in a lot more effort.

"I don't know how long I can do that to my maximum so maybe one day I will be able to play centre back."

Arsenal face Sunderland tomorrow.
