Mattia Destro has admitted that he is delighted to have scored his first goal for AC Milan.
The 23-year-old joined on loan from Roma at the end of January and managed to find the net as the Rossoneri shared a 1-1 draw with Empoli this afternoon.
"I'm happy for my goal, but unfortunately we couldn't win," he told Sky Sport Italia.
"We must continue to work in order to bring home more valuable points so we can achieve our goal of returning to Europe.
"In the first half we managed to play well, Empoli were able to do very little. The coach has been working hard during the week, we are far from a Europa League spot. We must give a lot more effort to win."
Milan are currently 11th in the Serie A table.
