Jo-Wilfried Tsonga makes Wimbledon quarter-finals as Richard Gasquet drops out injured

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga is into the Wimbledon quarter-finals after fellow Frenchman Richard Gasquet pulls out of their fourth-round match with a back injury.

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has reached the Wimbledon quarter-finals after his French compatriot Richard Gasquet pulled out of their fourth-round match with a back injury.

Gasquet appeared to hurt his lower back after stretching for a shot at 3-2 down and called for the trainer to come to No.1 Court, but attempted to carry on.

After hitting a return into the net in the next game, Gasquet decided that he could not continue and went to shake hands with number 12 seed Tsonga at 4-2 and 40-0 down.

Tsonga will take on either second seed Andy Murray or 15th seed Nick Kyrgios in Wednesday's quarter-finals.
