David Ferrer has seen off world number 101 Martin Alund in four sets to make it through to round two of Wimbledon.
The Spanish fourth seed eased past the Argentine 6-1 in the opener, but Alund fought back to level the contest 6-4.
Ferrer continued to battle in his inimitable way and clinched the third 7-5 before winning 6-2 in the fourth to progress.
He will now face fellow Spaniard Roberto Bautista-Agut for the opportunity to play in the third round.
