Dubai opener pleases Novak Djokovic

Novak Djokovic expresses his happiness following his victory at the Dubai Tennis Championships.

World number one Novak Djokovic has revealed that he was pleased with his first performance at the Dubai Tennis Championships yesterday afternoon.

Despite the fact that he had not played since the beginning of the month, Djokovic dropped just five games on his way to defeating fellow Serbian Viktor Troicki 6-1 6-4.

"I had three or four weeks of no tennis, so I was extremely focused to start well and I did really well in the first set," Djokovic said. "I was right behind his serve and I'm very satisfied with my performance and hopefully I can continue."

He will now take on Roberto Bautista-Agut for a place in round three.
