Angelique Kerber has come from a set behind to see off Kirsten Flipkens 3-6 6-3 6-2 at Wimbledon to advance through to the last 16.

Serve was lost on three occasions in the opening four games of the contest, with Flipkens eventually getting a foothold on the set to take the lead.

Kerber broke her Belgian opponent's serve twice in the second set to draw level, before an almost identical deciding set, where the world number seven broke serve twice once more, saw her prevail to book her spot in the next round.

The 26-year-old will now face Maria Sharapova for a place in the quarter-finals.
