Andy Murray says that he is not bothered about the prospect of facing Rafael Nadal in the early stages on Wimbledon.

World number two Andy Murray has insisted that he has no qualms about potentially facing Rafael Nadal in the quarter-finals of Wimbledon.

The Spaniard looks likely to be seeded differently this year after dropping to fifth in the world rankings despite winning the French Open last month.

The Scot could potentially meet Nadal in the last eight before battling Roger Federer in the semi-finals and Novak Djokovic in the final, but Murray is not concerned by the draw at SW19.

"I know there will be a lot of interest in the draw this year as Rafa looks like being seeded fifth, but as a player you can't get too obsessed about the draw," said Murray.

"I'd sign up to be in the quarter-finals against Rafa tomorrow if someone offered me that. You could say if I get through that match, then the semi-final might not be as tough, but if you want to win the biggest tournaments you have to beat the best players in the world. It doesn't really matter where they are in the draw."

The draw for the first round of Wimbledon takes place on Friday.
