Agnieszka Radwanska makes light work of Caroline Garcia in New York

Agnieszka Radwanska beats Caroline Garcia 6-2 6-3 at the US Open to progress into the second week of a Grand Slam event for the third time this year.

Agnieszka Radwanska has advanced into the fourth round of the US Open for a fifth time after easing past Caroline Garcia in straight sets.

The fourth seed prevailed 6-2 6-3 at Flushing Meadows in a straightforward manner, taking just one hour and 10 minutes to get the job done.

Radwanska's strong serves helped her through the first set, as the 27-year-old took five games on the spin to cruise into an early lead in the match.

That dominance continued when taking the opening three games of the second set, dropping just one point in the process, and Radwanska was then able to get over the line with relative ease to continue her tournament into the second week.
