Novak Djokovic has played down fears over an ankle injury he sustained during his straightforward victory over Marcel Granollers at the Shanghai Masters.
The Serbian landed his foot awkwardly during the second set and had to call for a medical timeout, but in his post-match press conference he said that everything was fine.
"It was just an awkward movement," he told reporters. "I was in an off-balance position.
"I was running and I made a quick movement that caused a sharp pain at that instant moment, but after the match we determined that it's nothing serious, so it's all fine."
The world number two will face Fabio Fognini, who was a set up against Tommy Robredo before the Spaniard retired, in the third round in China.
