Venus Williams has crashed out of the Miami Masters with a defeat to Dominika Cibulkova.
The 33-year-old was beaten 6-1 5-7 6-3 as the Slovakian booked her place in the quarter-finals of the tournament in the last match of the round.
The 24-year-old Cibulkova breezed through the first set before the American struck back with a hard-fought victory in the second.
However, Cibulkova came through the third in impressive fashion to set up a meeting with Agnieszka Radwanska in the last eight.
