Kyle Edmund crashes out in first round as Robin Haase eases through in Miami

British number three Kyle Edmund loses to German Robin Haase 6-2 6-2 in the first round of the Miami Masters.

Kyle Edmund was defeated 6-2 6-2 in just 69 minutes by German Robin Haase to exit the Miami Masters in the first round.

Haase won every break point, and was never broken by the British number three.

Edmund lost his serve immediately, and was broken again in game seven as Haase took the first set with ease.

The second set went the same way with Haase winning the game three to love to break Edmund's serve. He then repeated the feat in game seven.

Edmund saved three match points before failing with two break-point chances as Haase took the final game after the fourth deuce.

The world number 98 will play Santiago Giraldo in the second round.
