Victoria Azarenka wins her third title this year at the Qatar Open with a straight-sets victory over Samantha Stosur.

Victoria Azarenka has captured her third title of the season with a thumping straight-sets victory over Samantha Stosur at the Qatar Open.

There were no signs of the ankle injury which troubled the Australian Open champion in her semi-final clash with Agnieszka Radwanska as she routed Stosur 6-1 6-2.

The Belarusian only dropped 18 games all week on her way to the Doha crown and an 11th WTA Tour triumph.

"It feels amazing to win this title," said the 22-year-old.

"I have been coming here quite a few times, also for the WTA Championships, and I never even reached the final, so for me it's extra special to win here. I really like this tournament a lot."

The new world number one extended her record over the Australian to 6-0, while maintaining her unbeaten run this season to 17-0.
