Andy Murray says that he is hoping to play at Queen's next week in order to recover for Wimbledon later this month.

World number two Andy Murray has revealed that he intends to return to action at the AEGON Championships at Queen's Club next week.

The Scot was forced to miss the French Open with a lower back injury that led to fears that he may fail to recover in time to feature on his home turf at Wimbledon later this month.

However, Murray took to Twitter to announce that he fully expects to return to the court at SW19 this year.

Murray tweeted: "Barring no setbacks in the next couple of days I will be making an appearance at the club of the Queen next week!"

The 26-year-old recently admitted that he had been playing through the pain barrier with the problem.
