David Ferrer describes his victory at the Paris Masters as a "dream realised".

David Ferrer has described his victory at the Paris Masters as a dream come true.

Ferrer beat Jerzy Janowicz in straight sets to pick up his first ever ATP Masters 1000 win.

The world number five, who had previously reached three different Masters finals without success, believes that today's win was the perfect way to cap off an impressive season.

"It is a dream realised to win a Masters event," said Ferrer.

"There was Rome, Monte-Carlo and Shanghai. This time it is a happy ending and the ultimate reward of the best season of my career."

The victory handed Ferrer his seventh title of the year.
