Serbian Novak Djokovic will end the year as the world number one in the ATP Rankings.
The 25-year-old surrendered top spot to Roger Federer on July 9, but he will be reinstated as number one on November 5 when Federer drops his points from his 2011 title wins at the Swiss Indoors Basel, BNP Paribas Masters and Barclays ATP World Tour Finals.
Djokovic secured three Grand Slam titles last year on his way to becoming the first Serbian to finish the year as world number one with 10 titles, but there have been claims that his form has dipped this year.
He will be crowned as the world number one during a trophy presentation in London next week.
