Sean Maitland has claimed that it will be a "proud" moment for him and his family when he pulls on a Scotland jersey for the first time in the nation's Six Nations campaign.
The 24-year-old, who was born in New Zealand, was named in Scott Johnson's side for their tournament opener against England this Saturday.
"I'm very proud to be given the opportunity," BBC Sport quotes Maitland as saying. "It's very special and I'm very proud.
"My parents are happy for me too. They are very proud and talking to my dad, he's a man of little emotion, but he definitely showed a lot of emotion when I told him the news."
After their battle against England, Scotland will go up against Italy.
