Jamie Roberts denies Racing Metro exit speculation

Jamie Roberts reiterates that he will 'not be going home' this week, contrary to recent reports in the media.

Racing Metro centre Jamie Roberts has moved to distance himself from speculation linking him with a return to Welsh rugby.

Wales coach Warren Gatland revealed earlier this week that the 27-year-old, along with teammates Mike Phillips and Dan Lydiate, were keen on returning home following their one-year stints in France.

However, Phillips soon rubbished reports, saying that he was "very happy" at his current club.

Roberts has also taken to Twitter to deny the links with a move back, saying: "Funny few days. Contrary to fictitious 'press' belief, I'm not going home this week. Merci."

Lydiate has yet to respond to recent rumours suggesting that he could complete a move to either the Ospreys or the Scarlets within the next fortnight.
