Perpignan wing Adrien Plante has been handed a call-up to the France squad for next month's Six Nations tournament.
The 27-year-old, who is uncapped, has replaced 18-year-old centre Gael Fickou, who has been ruled out of the tournament with an ankle injury.
The teenager was expected to be a key member of France's plans for the tournament, but suffered an injury in Toulouse's Heineken Cup fixture earlier this month.
Plante, who has been with Perpignan since 2006, has been recognised at youth level, but is yet to make his full bow for his home nation.
Philippe Saint-Andre's squad currently stands at 33, but 10 will be omitted before the opening clash against Italy.
