Newcastle Falcons prop Kieran Brookes has urged his teammates to learn lessons from this season in order to push on.
The Falcons, who host Exeter Chiefs in their final game of the season today, secured their Aviva Premiership safety at the expense of Worcester Warriors last weekend.
"Although there were a few mistakes in defence we had a lot to take away from it, and the main thing is that we survived in the Premiership so it is onwards and upwards," the 23-year-old is quoted as saying by Chronicle Live.
"Even in training you could see during the week there were fantastic plays getting put together, but little mistakes sometimes let us down. Over pre-season and at the beginning of next season those are the things we need to be working on."
Brookes rejoined the Kingston Park outfit in 2013 after spending two seasons at Leicester Tigers.
