Manu Tuilagi has been called up to the England training squad for the Six Nations encounter against Wales on March 12.
The Leicester Tigers centre has not represented his country since June 2014 due to a combination of injury and suspension.
However, having brought Tuilagi back into the fold, head coach Eddie Jones has compared the 24-year-old to New Zealand star Ma'a Nonu.
"He has to keep working on his fitness and he is going to be a valuable player for England," said Jones.
"I think 12 is his best position. He can carry the ball off the gain line and he's got the ability to catch and pass.
"He's got all the attributes to be an outstanding 12. If you look at it on pure athleticism Manu is not far behind Nonu at all. He starts from a good situation and it depends how hard he works on his game and how desperate he is to play for England."
Exeter Chiefs back-row Dave Ewers has also been included, while Luther Burrell and Josh Beaumont have dropped out.
