Luke Cowan-Dickie to leave England's tour of New Zealand with knee injury

England confirm that Luke Cowan-Dickie has left the tour of New Zealand to undergo further assessment on a knee injury.

England have confirmed that Luke Cowan-Dickie will leave his side's tour of New Zealand in order to undergo further assessment on a knee injury.

The Exeter hooker suffered the problem in training after joining up with the England squad last week following the close of the Aviva Premiership season.

"It's unfortunate for Luke," ESPN quotes head coach Stuart Lancaster as saying. "He has been great over the last three weeks and I am sure he will have benefitted from being involved in this environment.

"Unfortunately he has not been able to take a full part in training and it's the right thing for him to go back to Exeter and have further assessment. We have four other hookers so we are well covered in that position and we will not be bringing anyone else out."

England lost 20-15 to New Zealand following a last-minute try at Eden Park on Saturday.
