Wolverhampton Wanderers 'chasing Adam Forshaw, Ben Marshall'

Wolverhampton Wanderers are linked with bids for Middlesbrough midfielder Adam Forshaw and Blackburn Rovers winger Ben Marshall.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have been linked with bids for Middlesbrough midfielder Adam Forshaw and Blackburn Rovers winger Ben Marshall.

The Midlands side are thought to be in the market for five to eight players in the coming weeks following their takeover by Chinese conglomerate Fosun International.

Forshaw, 24, joined Boro from Wigan Athletic in January 2015 and may be made available once the newly-promoted side finalise their squad for the upcoming Premier League season. According to the Express & Star, Boro will expect to recoup at least the £2m they paid for his services.

Meanwhile, Wolves are thought to have made three unsuccessful bids for Marshall, 25, with Blackburn only willing to entertain offers in excess of £4m.

Earlier today Wolves confirmed their first signing of the Fosun era as Benfica winger Helder Costa completed a one-year loan switch, while Atletico Madrid defender Silvio is "close" to joining on a permanent deal.

Other names linked to the club in recent days include Fulham centre-back Richard Stearman and Brazilian forward Anderson Talisca, who is said to be in the final throes of agreeing a Championship-record £20m transfer.
