Romain Saiss: 'Wolverhampton Wanderers must show toughness'

Midfielder Romain Saiss says that Wolverhampton Wanderers must show their toughness in their Championship fixture against Reading on Saturday evening.

Midfielder Romain Saiss has claimed that he remains unconcerned bt Wolverhampton Wanderers' poor run of form in the Championship.

Wolves remain six points clear at the top of the second-tier standings, but Nuno Espirito Santo's side have failed to win any of their last three fixtures.

However, Saiss has backed the squad to deliver against Reading on Saturday evening, with the game the first of three matches to take place in the space of a week.

The 27-year-old told the Express & Star: "This week it's an important game for us. Even the next week, because we play Saturday-Wednesday-Saturday so it's an important week.

"We have to bounce back because our last win was three games ago. We have to show another mentality and the other football that we did in the first half of the season. I'm confident in the team. We've worked well this week and I hope we win on Saturday.

"[The recent run] doesn't worry me. Every team has a hard period. Our period is now so the most important thing is to bounce back and to win quickly to close this hard period, to be ready for the last run."

Saiss is likely to make his 27th league start of the season, with Ruben Neves serving the second of his two-match ban.
