Jamie O'Hara has been given an injection in his hip in an attempt to be fit for the start of the new season with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The 25-year-old struggled with injury throughout last season as Wolves were relegated to the Championship but is confident that he can be available for Stale Solbakken in the next couple of weeks.
O'Hara posted on Twitter: "Hip injection went well today so that's a big positive hopefully after follow up scan and injection could be fit to start the season.
"The only thing I'm concentrating on getting back to 100% to put on a wolves shirt and give the fans the performances they want to see."
Wolves face Aldershot Town in the Capital One Cup on Saturday before travelling to Leeds United in the Championship the following week.
